TMS Academy | Full Circuit Patriot Program
The Full Circuit Patriot Program is a dynamic, four-phase virtual training pathway designed to prepare young Americans for success in military service or civilian careers. The program’s purpose is to help students achieve their dreams of serving the nation, whether through enlistment or officer commissioning. The program combines military discipline, leadership development, technical training, and career readiness in a structured, personalized approach. Led by Albert Mendiola, Director of Military Programs, and supported by Assistant Director of Military Programs Mallory Ortiz-VanMeter, the program provides unparalleled guidance and mentorship.
The partnership between TMS Academy and Huntington Learning Center aims to support high school students with aspirations of serving in the U.S. Military, either as enlisted personnel or as officers through college ROTC or direct commissioning. This collaboration leverages Huntington’s test preparation expertise and TMS Academy’s military readiness programs to provide students with a comprehensive support system. Together, they ensure students have the academic, technical, and leadership skills needed for military entrance exams, college acceptance, and successful military service. This partnership empowers students to achieve their goals of serving the nation in either an enlisted or officer capacity.
Huntington Learning Center is a nationally recognized educational service provider specializing in personalized tutoring and test preparation. With over 40 years of experience, Huntington supports students in academic subjects and standardized tests such as the ASVAB, ACT, and SAT. Their individualized learning approach, expert instructors, and proven methods help students achieve academic success and improve test scores, making them more competitive for college admissions and career opportunities, including U.S. military pathways.
Albert Mendiola is a retired United States Marine Corps veteran with 20 years of service, including six deployments, three of which were combat tours: Operation Enduring Freedom (Korengal Valley, Afghanistan, 2005), Operation Iraqi Freedom (Haditha Triad, Iraq, 2006), and Operation Enduring Freedom (Musa Qalah, Afghanistan, 2012). His distinguished career includes roles as a Military Education Officer, Department of Defense (DoD) Transition Program Manager, DoD SkillBridge Program Manager, Military-to-Civilian Transition Counselor, and Military Family Readiness Officer. As a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, and Chief Drill Instructor, he trained over 2,500 Marines. His extensive expertise in military discipline, leadership, and transition strategies forms the foundation of programs designed to prepare participants for success in both military and civilian environments.
Mallory Ortiz-VanMeter is a United States Marine Corps veteran with over 12 years of service, including three deployments, two of which were combat tours: Operation Enduring Freedom (Helmand Province, Afghanistan, 2010) and Operation Enduring Freedom (Musa Qalah, Afghanistan, 2012). Throughout her service, she excelled in critical roles such as Operations Chief, Logistics Chief, Physical Security Chief, Ammunition Chief, and Female Engagement Team (FET) Leader. The FET program was pivotal in integrating women into combat operations, enabling them to support infantry units and play an active role in frontline missions. As a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor, she trained over 2,000 Marines, emphasizing military discipline, leadership, and strategic training to ensure their success both within the military and in civilian life.
This program is divided into distinct phases, Test Preparation, Certification Preparation, Professional
Development, and Military/Workforce Integration, to ensure participants achieve a seamless transition into military
service.
Phase 1: Test Preparation (Test Prep)
Objective:
Prepare participants for the ASVAB, ACT, or SAT exams, building a solid foundation for
military enlistment or college admission.
Details:
Schedule: 6 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Duration: 3 months, 75 hours total.
• 72 hours of one-on-one virtual instruction over 12 weeks.
• 1.5 hours for an initial assessment to measure baseline knowledge and skills.
• 1.5 hours for a review briefing to create a personalized study plan.
Instruction:
Delivered virtually or in person in partnership with Huntington Learning Center to provide top tier preparation.
Phase 2: Certification Preparation (Cert Prep)
Objective:
Build foundational IT knowledge and military readiness through structured Primer,
Foundation, and Core Certification courses.
Details:
• Primer Courses: Introduction to IT fundamentals, e.g., CompTIA ITF+.
• Foundation Courses: Development of technical expertise, e.g., CompTIA A+, Project+.
• Core Courses: Advanced IT skills, e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+.
Schedule: 6 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Duration: 3 months, 75 hours total.
• 36 hours of military preparation instruction.
• 36 hours of IT certification coursework.
• 1.5 hours for an initial military assessment and personalized planning.
• 1.5 hours for a final military assessment to evaluate readiness and progress.
Instruction:
Delivered virtually by expert instructors from TMS Academy providing guidance in both technical and military readiness.
Phase 3: Professional Development (Pro Dev)
Objective:
Equip participants with the tools and strategies needed for career readiness in both military
and civilian contexts.
Details:
• Resume Building: Craft tailored resumes for military, civilian careers, or college applications.
• Interview Preparation: Develop techniques for job and ROTC interviews.
• Networking Strategies: Build professional connections within IT, military, and civilian
communities.
• Job Placement Support: Receive guidance on civilian career opportunities and mentorship on
military occupational specialties (MOS).
Schedule: 6 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Duration: 3 months.
Instruction:

Phase 4: Military/Workforce Integration
Objective:
Support participants in transitioning into military environments or civilian roles aligned with
their military training.

For High School/JROTC Students Enlisting after Graduation
• Guidance on the enlistment
• Preparation for Basic Training with a focus on physical readiness, military customs, and mental resilience.
• Mentorship from military veterans to set expectations for military service.
For High School/JROTC Students Going to College:
• Assistance with ROTC applications and interview preparation.
• Leadership and time management training for ROTC success.
• Insight into the commissioning process and military career planning.
Additional Support:
• Military Culture Training: Comprehensive insights into military values and expectations.
• Command Communication Skills: Develop effective communication strategies for leadership
roles.
• Personalized Transition Plans: Leverage certifications and skills to navigate military or civilian
pathways.
Schedule: 6 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
