A virtual machine (VM) is a virtual representation, or emulation, of a physical computer. Virtualization makes it possible to create multiple virtual machines, each with their operating system (OS) and applications, on a single physical machine.
To effectively teach IT subjects, we require the use of multiple operating systems, heterogeneous computers, and networks with various architectures. VMs give us this flexibility.
At TMS we use a variety of VMs to simulate different operating systems and computers depending on the course.
Our systems are currently based on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is the same infrastructure that Google uses internally for its end-user products.
